Last night, I installed my PPE tune, set on #4 tune.....Today, driving at about 50 MPH, went to pass another vehicle, and a Very LOUD 'BAM', or POP from under the hood, Tons of Smoke and loss of power! I stopped and looked under the hood, but couldnt see anything wrong. After barely makeing it home at 40 mph, I uninstalled tune back to stock, took it for a drive, and no change, Runs Like Crap, Turbo whistles more than usual, and still too much smoke!
Any Ideas what's wrong?

sounds like an intercooler or turbo boot blew off?

Did you check all of the rubber boots from the turbo to the intercooler then to the intake manifold?

X2, it happened to me also just not on that large of scale like you describe.

x3. Clean the pipe/intercooler ends with a good solvent or whatever before you put it back together. Just good advice i heard once.

x4 Definantly has to be intercooler pipe or boot

OK Guys.....it WAS the Turbo Boot.....cleaned end of Pipe and inside of boot...reinstalled.........RUNS GREAT!!

Its always funny at truck pulls the truck will be going down the track and you will here what sounds like a shotgun going off and about everyone thinks they blew something up, but it sounds 100X worse than it actually is. How much boost are you puttin out to blow it off? I hit 26 on mine and lucky havent had any problemos yet.

I really dont know how much boost it was putting out, I was trying to pass another vehicle at the time,so, I didnt look, but it must have been plenty lol.....its set at 35psi

the stock boot won't blow untill it hits atleast 40psi(or thats in most cases)and will give quite scare when it happens..
