happy to say that I've experienced no problems with a frame mounted filter on my C5500 since the temperature has turned nasty in the last week. I was slightly concerned about it hanging there with no motor heat to keep it warm, but it's worked flawlessly so far. My setup uses the same head and filter as the Nicktane so you other fellas expecting cold weather should put your minds at ease.

i can't tell you how glad i am to hear that! thank you so much for the update.

It has been in the low 20s and 30s (F) here for the last 2 weeks. Truck has started and run just like normal no matter the outside temp. Have not had any single digits yet, but we will see. So far, so good.
