hey guys i'm new here and i was just wondering why my truck barely smokes when i have my ppe programmer on level 4 (180horse) it barely puts out a puff of smoke when i'm WOT i thought it would smoke a lot more than that

Probably because the turbo is spooled up and throwing lots of air in it. More air=less smoke.

How about when you first get on it, does it blow a big cloud and then clear up when the turbo kicks in?

With my edge on 5 when im cruising the highway and lay into it it dont smoke much either, plus moving at 100km/h any smoke that does come out disperses quickly. In town is a different story, i can cloud intersections.

when i get on it from a stop there is a little puff of smoke and thats it nothing else when its going through the gears

Anything done to the intake or exhaust? When I put my edge on 3 or especially 4 or up and I'm spraying for mosquitos. It's fun at the time but I know it's smoking because the fuel mixture is off (not enough air)

Ya something seems off there. That PPE programmer should be the equivalent to the edge on 5, due to RWHP and Crank HP ratings of the two.

Fuel filter been changed recently? You'd have other problems if it was starving for fuel that bad though I think.

do you still have the cat on it? that would block a lot of it.

the kitty is removed and its got a cold air kit and the fuel filter has about 9k miles on it

it should smoke pretty good. i am not sure about the ppe, but te edge on 5 does smoke good. haven't done it in a while because i hate the edge but did smoke my trans doing before.

i have the ppe on mine set at 160 hp 5" ext cold air and get some good smoke going !

I have mine on 4 And sometimes there is a pretty good cloud but the turbo cleans it up pretty quick
