Can I stack these 2, my buddy might sell me the edge ez for cheap, We ran the ppe on 5 and the ez on 2 on his and man did it blow some serious smoke it was cool. Will there be too much timing with that setup. I'm not looking to add alot of power with the stack but more for just rolling some smoke. I was also thinking the edge J/A because I can pull fuel from 4th and 5th so it wont slip. It just wont hold on 5th with the #5 setting if I'm mashed. It holds just fine on the others. I know I need the tranny and it'll be here soon. Will I lose power with that setup. Which would be best. Could I safely run the edge J/A on lets say 2 with low boost fueling on 5 and the ppe on 3?? If I run the ez just and keep a close eye on the gauges will it be ok??

Hot + 2 and Duramaximizer with built tarns. Clear up on both forget the Edge IMO.

same here. I would go with the PPE Hot + 2 and duramaximizer also. But you better upgrade your tranny. It will make an a## out of the stock one. ATS is my choice. I believe both programs you talked about, add timing, which is too much.

On level 5, your tranny is on borrowed time for sure..

I know but I'll be throwing in a complete SC V and 1057 TC. Right now I got to figure out why it wont start for shit. Everybodys thinking injectors including me. So bad idea on the edge ez/ppe stack? I dont know if Id even gain any hp with the edge ez. I'm looking for more smoke but then again I dont know, I could have injector probs and it may not be as fast as it should be. I might just run the ez with the ppe just for rolling some smoke at the highschool homecoming parade lol. I can feel it slip in 5th gear but It wont go into limp mode or throw a SES illumination. I'm thinking it might be the TC slipping. I know I'm on borrowed time but I'm turning it down as soon as the snow flys.

Dmax, the PPE on level 5 will blow smoke, but you have to be about 1/2 throttle. Have you changed the fuel filter lately..? could be a bunch of crud in the filter..? just a guess.

I've changed it 3 times in the last probably 2 1/2 months lol because the starting issue will go away with a new filter for awhile and then its back. If you look in my garage you'll see that one pic rolling smoke is on lv5. The only way it'll roll smoke for me is before the turbo is spooled up like mashed from a dead stop. If I stomp it down while I'm going maybe 45mph its just a haze. I want more lol A guy I know has a PS 6.0 with a SCT and it rolls smoke just rolling on it alittle bit.

Id also like to note that I raced a Ford Taurus SHO which had a nice loud gear whine like a different blower on it and we were neck and neck. Thats pathetic IMO. But its either fuel or tranny or both related.

Level 10 should smoke like a train w/ a stock charger but have a trans fund.

that stack will work but only with the hot et+2 seeing you can turn the timing off on the PPE and then add the timing with the edge but it will finish your stock tranny in no time and did i mention the fuel upgrades needed to run that kinda power,twin lift pumps and bigger fuel lines...

I dont think "stacking" and "safely" belong in the same sentence.

it isn't the safest way for power but has been known to work quite well but i don't know how long it will last so you might be better off switching to EFILive and do a custom tune that is more power then stacking these 2..

I understand that but like I said, I will be getting a new tranny in the near future. Its not like I'm gonna be always running the hottest tunes either, just once and awhile for rolling some smoke. Prolly best just to run hot+2 or tts extreme etc
