: Edge/Attiude or Banks 6gun 05 lly
blizzardplowman 11-19-2004, 01:25 PM Well the new truck is ordered and now its time to shop for upgrades- looking for input on the edge vs banks, I have the edge on my lb7 and its great. Have the issues been worked out on the LLY yet for a box or is everyone having problems. I really like the edge w/ Attiude the read out is a big plus- so help me makeup my mind.
colodmax 11-19-2004, 01:42 PM I haven't had any problems with my Edge J/A.
Love it!!
earthcrusher 11-21-2004, 12:16 AM None here.
baimpala 11-21-2004, 07:44 AM No issues here with my Juice/Attitude. I love it. . . I am thinking about stacking the predator though. . .Out of projects again. . .):h

Dutchie 11-21-2004, 07:53 PM Don't think Banks has anything for LLY yet but will soon I hear, as will VanAaken.
monty 11-23-2004, 02:57 PM I would wait and take a look at what Van Aaken will be coming out with in about a month. We have some test units out and they look very promising! Don't forget its the maping of the timing, fuel delivery, boost etc, and how they are applied that makes a great program.
emerick115 11-23-2004, 04:14 PM Who makes Van Aaken?
esollars 11-25-2004, 10:36 PM We, too, have just ordered our '05 GMC Duramax Diesel SLT LLY with all the goodies.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif Our '96 Ford F250 has most of the Banks stuff on it. Hubby is itching to get the new truck so he can put the Banks stuff on it as well. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif I worry about warranty issues and too much on demand power. (Ha! Like a guy would think there could be too much on demand power!) I do like the user settings I understand it will have, but still have reservations. Sure would hate to hurt any of the new baby's vital parts. We'll be using the truck as our daily driver (70 miles round trip) some of the time and occasionally to tow our 29' 5th wheel. Any thoughts? Should I have him check out Edge and Van Aaken first?
esollars 11-26-2004, 01:15 AM I found the answers to my warranty questions on a thread called "Banks Six Gun and GM Warranty" from February of this year. The thread is now closed, but was very enlightening.

Wait a few weeks and see how the van Aaken stacks up against the Edge HP wise. The Edge has the digital Attitude Monitor and works very well, we have sold a lot of them with good results and we no whave the full A pillar Atttitude mounts to place the Attitude where you can see it etc. The van Aakens are due out real soon and from the Beta testing we have ahd a couple fo customers do it looks real promising. We have the Edge's here no and the van aakens soon call us if you need any questions answered, 866-455-7788, and remember we GUARANTER all of our prices too!

killerbee 11-26-2004, 04:13 PM I like the edge on the LLY just fine. A group buy was had a while back with 50 of these sold and only one person didn't want to keep it.
RobertCG68 11-27-2004, 10:28 PM i love my edge but i do have some idle problems and the truck dont want to run until its warmed up but after that its a bat out of hell
blizzardplowman 11-27-2004, 11:15 PM Thanks for all the info- saw lly j/a today for $645. + shipping so that the direction I think I am going.
Scotty Seelen 11-30-2004, 11:06 AM In the latest issue of Four Wheeler, Banks was advertising that the 6-gun was now available for the LLY. However, their website doesn't state anything about this yet. They must be VERY close to being able to ship these units out.
dschiradelly 11-30-2004, 05:37 PM I called Banks yesterday about the six gun bundle package and they have not yet come out with it. The sales rep said they keep pushing the release date back.
