I've got a guy at work (Yea you know the type) that loves to run his smart ass mouth. We'll he just bought this '67 Camaro with a near stock 350 and a Saginaw 4 speed along with a 4.11 12 bolt rear. We'll anyways he's been talkin' smack about my POS Chevy Diesel and He wants to run at Union Grove this Friday Night. Now, I really don't have nothing to lose by losing to him, except listening to his BS forever.

My current '02 LB7 has a standard PPE good for 120hp, along with a SB CAI, PPE boost valve. I need to make a little more power and I think I can get him. Now I thought about sending the tuner back to PPE for an upgrade, but it wouldn't make it back in time. I was wondering if someone might want to rent me a tune/tuner for the night. I understand the whole tranny issue and mine hasn't hiccuped yet, but I'm desperate. I would be willing to make it worth your wild if you could help a fellow DP'er out and smoke some Camaro ass. If you can help me out let me know. Thanks in advance. Dan Giffen
Call: 262-770-6929 or message me on the board. Also if someone has a bigger tune they want to sell or trade let me know.

Shoot.....if the specs on the camaro are right, do a half-boosted 4x4 launch and he won't see nothin' black smoke and tail lights.

I know it has a Edelbrock dual plane manifold, Holley 650 carb, gear drive and maybe a cam. He's also a sneaky and might try and mod it more(NOS). I want to make sure he eats smoke as I told him I want the left lane.

An Edelbrock dual plane and a 650 are only good for producing power at low rpm's. If he has a cam and heads to match this set up, it's not fast. Reliable performance, but not fast. If, and I mean if, it is as stock as it sounds, he'll be lucky to be about 275hp's with that thing. You should beat him as is.

A 4:11 gear may even run out before the traps depending on his tire height-although with a 4 speed, 4th may be geared high enough. I doubt he'll shift fast enough to keep up. I'd race him any day, and my truck isn't fast.

I had a '74 chevelle with a crate 350. it had an edelbrock performer and holley 650. it was rated a shade over 325hp. it ran good, but was probably a high 13 car. my d-max feels faster even though I haven't had it to the track yet. I'm not far from Chicago so have him come down and he can play with me

:D

it's sorta a win win for you. if you lose, you were suppose to and it's a big ass truck. if you win......... ;)
