when in towhaul and going down this big hill where im from called the grade my truck will down shift and then downshift again and it revs really high...it wont hurt itself by downshifting too much will it...its smarter than to downshift too many gears to wear it starts messing stuff up, isnt it?

As long as it doesn't get above 4800 rpms, it is fine. IIRC from the allison manual, if it doesn't upshift, you are supposed to use your brakes to slow down. Although, it should upshift about that time anyway. (as long as your tach doesn't go into the solid red, you will be fine)
