Wondering if there is any differance on the heads over the years. I thought i read about the precups being different. Are there any differance from the early 90's to the late 90's.

The L56 and L65 pre-cups are different. I'm not sure of year to year though, but I doubt there'd be much, if any difference.

Lots of difference over the years...the 'other' site has an article about it....pull out the wallet to read it though...

Anything significant? Just want to get the truck running again.

A few articles ago, someone mentioned diamond precups and I was just curious if there was something to it? Is one better than another?

Pre cups have a part in increasing MPG .Get educatied at diesel page. L56 or small valve 6.2 precups are for economy. I only drive a diesel for MPG & second reason is the GM 6.2/6.5 used vehicles & used parts are low initial cost.
