Use of quality lubricants = no need to additize them as they already should contain everything you need. Chevron Delo, Mobil, and Royal Purple come to mind. Personally I use Chevron Delo 400 5W40 synthetic.

I use the Lucas fuel additive but wouldn't use their oil additives.

The oil addative is great despite what some have wrote about it. Don't be fooled on what it can and can't do. If you have a perfectly working gear box, axel, engine or transmission put in synthetic alone. If you have old noisy parts then use Lucas and you will be please. Lucas is wonderfull in older manual transmission. It makes them quiet and shift smoother. In rearends with lockers, especially lunchbox lockers like powertrax lock right you almost need Lucas at 50% to get them to work well. It really quiets things up and lets them unlock freely. Also old engines like old tractors that were made to run on straight 30 can benifit from lucas and synthetic or conventionl oil mixed. Old engines can loose the prime in the oil pump and the lucas helps because it increases viscosity. Another thing to the naysayers of lucas is you can take off a valve cover of a lucas treated engine and it will feel like a thin film of grease has been left on all parts helping combat dry start ups. I use it for that because a lot of my equipment like my truck may sit for weeks. It may just be some junk thickening agents but if thats what it takes to do what you need then I say use it. As far as the fuel treatment goes I have used it for 10 years plus in all my stuff and have not been into a carburator since. Tractor, weedeater, chainsaw, old Jeeps, wifes car and diesel truck have all had perfectly functioning fuel systems with it's use. It makes the fuel burn more completly somehow and if you don't belive put it in and get you emissions test done. I just picked up a clean 1995 Trans Am convertable and they guy said wow when he saw how clean the emissions test came out. Same with the diesel truck. Plus on the truck it takes most of the diesel rattle out of the engine and makes it run smoooth as a sewing machine when pulling a heavy load. Proof is in the pudding for me and the stuff works. While I'm on my stump I must add that one of the best products they have is the power steering stop leak conditioner. It will slow or stop leaks and make your power sterring or rack and pinion smoooth. I've dumped the oil treatment in power steering fluid and it does about the same thing. My hobbie is Rock crawling and we have a lot of problems turning the large tires when they are bound up in rocks. A stock steering system will boil the fluid out but if you add the Lucas steering snake oil the problem is gone and you will have stronger steering as it gets hot. I read the reports that tears this stuff up but in real life the stuff does what it advertises.

Another "unbiased independent study" Seems they pull a lot of weight around here. Put it ice cold in practacly a blender and we get a little airation. Put it in a truck and we get a whole different scenario.

I love lucas oil products it's always has helped all of my vehicals and if it was so bad then why would truck drivers that I personally know put the oil stabilizer in thier engines if it doesn't work or hurts there engines. My wifes step dad #2 has always used it in his semi's and right now he has about 300,000 miles on his 1 1/2 year old peterbuilt.
