I've got an 05 D/A lly. I read just about all the forums on juice boxes. Whats the best one for a little more umph, w/o doing exhaust, intake and tranny upgrades. I see alot of you have edge/***. and alot have problems with also. Thanks for the help.

I don't think there are many w/ the LLY juice having problems.
Mine is great.

VA hasn't released the LLY near as I can tell, and the beta needs work. The Predator is doing well, and the Juice makes very good power on the LLY...
I'm running the "Tow tune" on the new predator. I was looking for just what you described and am very happy with it. The tow tune added just enough punch and actually seemed to make the engine run quieter. Plus you have the option to run the other tunes and adjust for tire size if you so desire.

Is the LLY Predator running as hot as the LB7? That seemed to be the biggest complaint about the Predator.

I honestly can't speculate on the Temps. I just have the stock gauges. I don't tow or run the truck too hard. I can say that stock gauge Temps seem the same as when running the LLY Predator "Tow Tune" unlaiden.

The first step with the LLY should be breathing exercises. I can't recommend removing the cat, but dropping the stock in favor of my 4" gives a BROAD 15 RWHP gain and cooler EGT's with stock programming alone... Edited by: Kennedy

JK,
What did your exhaust system do to the torque?

I think you would be happy with either set up, most are. The problems are minor.

The problems with the juice occurs in the higher settings and with a stock tranny....you should not have a problem cause the higher levels will smoke your tranny(you shouldn't run these levels on a stock allision). The edge will give you gauges which is a must and Kennedy has the edge on sale now. I had the edge for about 10,000 miles on a stock tranny, never ran it higher than 3 and the inside of my tranny was flawless when I had the suncoast installed. With my updated tranny I have had problems stacking and level 5 barking sporadically. Hopefully edge will get that sorted out...and when they do..they will have the perfect package. Sad to hear the van aken beta is having some problems. Was going to try that next. I guess I am just gonna have to be patient....I am not so good at that though!:D

You mention you want a little more umph.
Go with the edge on level 1 or 2 the differance between stock and level 1 is quite remarkable. You will never hurt anything running that level, even with a stock Allison and exhaust. The nice thing about the edge is it will protect the engine from high EGT levels.
I run the edge on level 1 with the Powershot set to come on at 3 PSI. It is so smooth!
Even without the Propane, Level 1 or 2 is plenty of power for all but the most hardened torque junkies...):h
BTW: I have not had any problems with the edge, However I have had the reflash done.

Hey LLY DMAX,
What performance mods did you have when you dynoed 390 rear wheel? Edge and Propane, exhaust?intake?tranny?
Thanks.
