Installed it tonight. Its quite impressive.

I have four screens that I can configure at will.

It's a boost guage AND a dual pyrometer.

It will display in any of the screens....

Boost

EGT 1

EGT 2

Injection Control Pressure

Coolant Temp

RPM

Speed (mph)

Dynamic highest EGT

Dynamic highest Boost

Hp and Tq in a 1/4 mile

0-60 time and speed

1/4 mile time and speed

Highest hp

Highest tq

Fastest 0-60

Fastest 1/4

Also has settings for tire size (for it's own use)

Set your own defueling point at specified EGT.

Side bar controls power levels in 25% increments.

You can reset DTC's with the Monitor and you can read AND reset DTC's with the downloader.

It is not a power enhancer but works along with them. I have the
BullyDog Power Pup Downloader. I can load the extreme program and
control it from the monitor so there's no need to download to change
settings.

Almost had a disaster wiring the thermocouple. Darn thing is all
braided stainless. Layed over the battery post to ground generates heat
real quick. Almost burned up some stuff but caught it in time.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley3.gif

Two things to evaluate there..

The downloader itself has worked flawlessly downloading on three
occasions. Got a couple codes today after hooking up the Monitor.
Cleared them with the downloader. The downloader has a USB port for online updates.

The overall quality of the plastic case of the Monitor and the moldwork
is not that great. The hokey windshield holder that comes with epoxy is
stupid. You won't see me gluing anything to the windshield that will
break glass to remove it. But hey, Edge doesn't have much of a mounting
solution either.
At least this one comes with an adapter to allow it to plug into a
standard gauge hole. I just used 3M doubleback foam tape and taped it
to the steering column. Looking close at the display itself looks to be
the same one
that Edge uses. I like the little joystick controller. It works quite
well once you get the hang of it.

Bottom line.... it works as advertised and works well.

The Monitor also works with the Dmax and the PSD.

A big welcome to you Dodge Boy! I guess I'm not surprised you didn't

Hoot have a 2003 HO with a manual owned by my son-in-law. My DMax kills him, he wants/needs more power. Is the BullyDog pup the best deal going right now? I've read that EGTs are a problem on the 24v Cummins. This Dodge is a high mileage truck, so need to stay conservative.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Well I just got it going yesterday. It's not a neck breaker from 0-50
throttle. The power comes on real strong as she gets into 3rd and 4th.
Remember I have an auto. As with the Dmax, anything over 90 hp can be
detrimental to the tranny. The thing I like so far is the way they
mapped the power to the accelerator position. Even on extreme it runs
like stock at the lower pedal positions. The Monitor so far is showing
very good EGT's . I have not hit 1300 yet and have trouble going over
1200 on pretty hard runs.

How does it compare to the DMax? I don't think it does. Two different
animals. Not as fast. The Dmax is more of a racer with the V8
configuration and the 5-speed Allison. I like the added power the Pup
provides but thrashing I do not like to do. I don't think a 100hp
increased Cummins will whip a 100hp increased Dmax. We are talking plug
and play stuff. Getting into the crazy end Dodge still rules the nest.
It's all money.

I highly recommend the Pup but get the Monitor too. Altogether it cost
me $700. Not bad for the downloader AND all the features of the Monitor
which includes dual egt gauge (comes with one probe), boost gauge and
all the rest.

Second Impression....

Hold up on the Monitor...

So far I'm not liking one big issue.... the High Boost Record doesn't work. It only records up to about 18 psi when I see my boost go way past that. Seems to be recordin a fraction of the full boost reading.

The Pyro/Highest Pyro works as expected... always kicking up as the egts go up and holding that number.

I called Bullydog tech support and got some strange answer that sounded like it was meant to confuse me. SOmething about the Boost not workingg the same as the Pyro record. Something about averaging.

I use the Highest Boost reading all the time. I'm a little dissapointed in the response from BullyDog and a little concerned with the validity of the rest of the presented data.

Just keeping you all honestly up to date.

Tony.... your take?

30 day money back.... The place I bought it from sold it to me on ebay. Legit place and it came in sealed packages.

I haven't left feedback so that's a card I'm holding.

Nice. I love the sport monochrome look. That picture looks like it belongs in a brochure!

I took those pictures earlier today on my way back from Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, with a scenic view of Lake Superior. I had taken a picture this summer of my previous vehicle there too, 1997 Dodge Ram.

hoot, i set up a outlook for a freind yesterday on a ford 6.0, one thing i cannot understand is how the record works, i am not able to find it, as for the boost pressure, it reads up to 32 psi on the display, but do not know if the record will read that high, all else seams to work as the book says, hp and tq are neat to see, we were not able to remove the two codes he had p 1000 and p2306, do not know why, egt worked great, will do a phone call in the morning

Set one of the windows to "High bst"

EGT has a similar setting called "High pyro"
