I took all my front in a part a while back to replace ball joints, bushings, CV, joints, brakes, etc. Now, as simple as it sounds, I am having trouble putting the items back together.

Could somebody send me a pic of the front suspension on a 4WD 3500? I have a 94.

In a nut shell here is the problem,

I have installed the upper and lower A arms with new ball joints.

Now I am TRYING to install the large cast iron piece that the brakes mount on, and the tie rod end connects to. It is the large cast iron piece that kind of sandwiches between the hub and the CV joint.

The large cast iron piece sits down on the lowere ball joint OK but....

When I try to insert the upper ball joint, it is like SOMETHING is upside down. The hole on the cast iron piece is tapered from the bottom to the top. Meaning, the hole on the top is smaller that the bottom.

What am I doing wrong???????????????

Pictures of CORRECT suspension would be a great help.

Like pictures of upper and lower ball joints around the upper and lower A arms.
