I have a 2001 Duramax diesel that I have a problem. The GM dealer changed the injectors under warrenty and charged me $180.00 to wash the motor because it had fuel in the oil. He also change the oil filter and oil. When I got the truck I started to have the following problem:
The truck power loss mode when I go over 70 miles/ hr. and it stay thier.
It will not go over 30 to 40 miles/hr and the RPM's will not go over 2,000.
When I took it back to the dealer he told me that it could be the fuel pump and it would cost $1,400.00 to replace it. I do not mine the money, but I do not trust the dealer, I think they are just guessing. I had it checked by 2 mech and they both said that a P0093 code comes up on the computer and that it is not the pump and one checked for fuel leak, but could not find one. I do not know what to do, except take the truck to maybe Houston. Maybe someone has had this problem before.
Thanks,
Juan

Try changing your fuel filter, and fill out your sig. with your truck setup and mods so others here can be more of a help to you. Do you have a lift pump? Also search for the code P0093 on the forums here - lots of good info here. Good Luck!

First thing I would do is go back to the dealer and demand my money back for the so called engine wash, you may som bad fuel which is crapping out the fuel filter, so you might have to remove the tank and do a eyeball inspection and removed and crud if it is their. Second I would invest in a Nictane Fuel setup as this will help protect your engine from bad fuel.
Do a search on the forums and you will find a wealth of info and welcome to the DP Site

I think they left a fuel line loose somewhere and it's sucking some air in.
