Hey everyone,

I just bought this off of Ebay. I was thinking about using it with my remote mounted OMD. What do you guys think?

Very very nice. Post some pics, you'll be the talk for awhile. Some enterprising individual should buy out the rest and start reselling.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

Thanks everyone for your imput. I thought it was pretty cool too. Now when I mount the PMD, should attach it to the fin side or the base plate?

That's a figgin big box! Where you gonna mount it?

I'd stick the pmd on the flat side of the finned piece.

You gonna use some sort of heat transfer adhesive goo, or GM's paper-thin heat transfer "pad"?

Awesome steal from Ebay! Congrats!

I was thinking about using the pad.

That's what I used too, since it came with the new pmd and it's mess-free. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif

That's a heck of a heat sink John!

I think its going to work great, and its not really that big at all. Has the same dimensions as a sheet of 8.5x11" piece of paper folded in half.

Looks like you could mount two FSDs in parallel on that thing. Or, have a switch for when one fails...

Now there's an idea someone might want to look into. I'd like it

i don't like the idea of a switch but having two mounted sounds cool so you could unplug one and just plug the harness into the other. like the two belts for everything on a jag.
