My 1992 2wd c2500 pickup originally had a 6.5L TD, but it died at 284,000 miles (valve dropped and messed up the head and piston). To get the pickup back on the road until I can get the diesel motor rebuilt, I am thinking of putting a 454 in it. I have a brand new 4l80e transmission in it and want to use it if possible. What needs to be changed to get it to work together? The 454 I am looking at has the aftermarket fuel injection system, so it will have a TPS on it..... Will the trans bolt up and work correctly?
