How many of you pull with a catback system? If you do what size, is there a disavantage besides restriction?

Took the one off of my Ford and it was quite toasty compared to the rest of the system. I set backdown to 2000* and left the alarm setting at it's usual 1450* setting. Got about 1/3-track and it started beepin' at me....This was with a totally straight pipe system (4"). I am thinking that with a cat in place, 300' is plenty long to get way too high EGTs. I will be removing the kitty today to see if there is any difference. WOW, I wish mine would stay at 1500, I dont seem to have a problem pegging 2000+ with a 5" stack straight piped. vtduramax 09-12-2007, 07:52 AM Well I had good results removing the kitty. I only saw 1250 - 1300 down the track. The track was pretty loose so tracking wasn't as good, but those are by far lower than normal. It also sounds alot louder.
