I have a 2002 Chevy crew cab and a couple of weeks ago got the low fuel light and fuel gage bouncing only after a fill up and untill 3/4 tank or so. I was told it was the fuel sensor in the tank by a dealer, also told me it would cost about 700 dollars. I saw some others members with the same problem and would definately rather save 500 bucks. Is it better to have a shop do this, or could someone with some mechanical knowledge tackle this, if it is the problem Thanks.

you have too much extra help around... These are new trucks with easy to disconnect fuel lines.. not rusted up terds... I'll drop the tank anyday... even on my back
An old 83 or something though......aw heck, torch a hole in the bed floor!

i've dropped by 35 Gal TFI tank at least 4 times, 3 of them on my back in teh driveway.. speaking of senders, mine did the funky LOW FUEL at full tank for 5 minutes the other day.. taht was a first... kept watching my fuel pressure gauge wondering if it was pouring out the back but i saw no smokehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/hihi.gif
