Ok so i installed my banks six gun with the speed loader and all it does is put out one little puff when its on six and then no more smoke? What else do i need to buy to make it smoke? I have a K&N Drop in filter, do i need a full intake??

Taking off the turbo would work, but thay will make ur truck slower than a turtle and mpg would go down a lot. And then you would need a new exhaust manifold.
Gale banks dislikes black smoke, so none of his tuners will make it, there are different kinds of tuners out there that will make some smoke, such as ppe or the edge, or create ur own with efilive. But if u want black smoke, banks is not the way to go

I run a Diablosport Predator and it leaves a bit of smoke on launches but its not to excessive. Which i kind of like.

ppe hot+2 or efilive, i went with ppe since i dont need a laptop to change stuff... and level 4 smokes more than crazy larry on the bully dog

Well if you were looking for smoke you went with the WRONG tuner! Just like they said Gale Banks hates smoke so he engineers his tuners to not put out any smoke. I have edge juice with attitude and I can fog out an intersection on level five. Even on level one with the low boost fuel adj set to five I can still smoke like crazy. If your looking for big power ppe is a smoker and with efi live you can pretty much make your truck do whatever you want it to do. So if you want smoke, get rid of the banks!

I can understand why you want the smoke, its cool. This is the obligatory "black smoke is a waste of fuel and energy" post. The smoke is merely unburnt carbon (aka Fuel). Generating less smoke means more efficiency. Now that I said that, rock on man.

Banks seemes more concerned with making power than smoke. I believe his strategy is to burn the fuel and make power with it instead of sending it straight out the pipes (even though it pretty awesome to watch a truck disappear in black smoke). I think Banks would rather make the smoke with the tires.

No not at all. I am entirely for smoking the hell out of an intersection. I am also am engineer so I felt obligated to say it. Seriously though I drive a 1979 Ford with every piece of EGR and emissions bullshit removed from my 351M, its my Mud Bogger. I don't buy into Global Warming because if you study geology you find that the earth cycles through hot and cold by itself and the 1 degree we add through fossil fuels and other sources of emissions are a drop in the bucket compared to the grand climate changes of the earth itself.

I am curious about the Diablo Stacked with the Six-Gun, I've heard of stacking but don't really know how to do it. I mean what kind of gain do you get from that because I am looking at a transmission upgrade (Suncoast IV) in the near future.

its not hard to do at all. i originally had just the banks but i wanted smoke so i bought the predator. the banks is a "chip" that just plugs into you main harness while the predator is a programmer which reprograms the ecu. you have to take the banks chip off so that it is all stock then program the stock computer to the modified one. then when you put the banks back on it it thinks that the predator program is the stock one and build off of that basically advancing the pi$$ out of the timing and dumping more fuel into your motor. it work but i am looking ot sell my banks chip and get either a bully dog or PPE. just simpler

For the most part thats how it works although i do not think the dilblo adds timing. The banks is the timing adder also DO NOT buy a bullydog there junk get the ppe. PPe has awesome tech support and dont frezze on loading

Try putting the stock air filter back in,It will smoke a little more but you will lose a little take off power

I know a guy that works in a tranny shop that talks alot of sh__ about the Allison and the first week he bought his cummins he had to upgrade the tranny. He wont race me cause he knows i will smoke him but he still likes to talk sh__!Censored :boxing:

i have an edge and mine will throw out a puff if i honk on it. wonder why yours is so diffrent? i run mine on level 3/5

I wouldn't recommend injectors the size of mine but my 50% extrude honed nozzles will have her rippin out a BIG @SS CLOUD with my PMT on STOCK! A set of 25% nozzles would do u nicly, and that'll run you about $350 (sending them ur stock nozzles) Wicked bad 700+HP and up trucks i've read about had from 25%-40% tips, so 50% is a bit rediculous. Dump the banks, u'll be happier!

dont know what program the cummins guys have but if its the crazy larry and a tranny you aint beating them with banks. im obviously a gm fan and i love my duramax but i wouldnt race a cummins with the crazy larry and a tranny with anything less but the PPE Hot +2 ET (which ive got). There arent many off the shelf tuners that will beat it (TTS PPE).

the crazy larry for gm is nothing compared to the crazy larry for dodge. get the PPE and a tranny and leave the cummins behind.

On a whim last night I pulled the boot loose that goes from the intercooler to the intake so that it wouldn't build much boost. HOLY CRAP did it smoke!!! Not a lot of power, but I could still hit 60 reasonably fast (couldn't see chit behind me though due to the thick black fog). It was fun, but I re tightened my boot now because I can't go around laying a haze all the time. :D That was Soo Much FUN!!! Thanks for the great idea :D:D:D

If you keep it long enough I promise you it will smoke. My is all stock and it has great amounts of smoke at idle. It looks like someone is cooking on the grill and the food has caught fire.:eek:

Nothing, just keep going about your business. One day an injector will fail (it's only a matter of time), the dealer won't cover it and she'll smoke like never before!!!!

How wise of an idea is that? Will it do any damage to the turbo? Where is this bolt you are referring to?

no its not a great idea. with a stock tune probably not as terrible. it will over fuel pretty bad with no boost but it wont hurt the turbo....

all you have to do is unhook the blue tube on the passenger side of the truck (intake manifold)

With the stock tune I knew I wasn't gonna have to worry about over speeding the turbo due to not enough fuel to make that happen. It was a quick 5 minutes of entertainment that gave me and my buddies a good chuckle. I definitely think that going built tranny and a PPE tuner would be the best way to lay down a haze.

I just loosened the boot that went right to the intake on the top of the engine if that's what you were asking about. That way I would still maintain positive pressure in my intake to prevent dust contamination in the engine.
