: Predator Balance rates versus temp

I just got my first programmer--The predator---mainly for diagnostics.

Question to the folks who have this programmer:

Does the Balance change with temp??

I have two injectors that start out at -3.3 (Drive with Parking brake)

After engine warmup to about 190 and above--the injectors will go to

-4.75 and -4.5 approx. I know the spec is +/-6, but I am concerned that these two move so much.

The other 6 injectors stay within a smaller range.

Truck has 30k miles on it.

Thanks for any inputs.

The balance rates should only be checked with engine at its operating temperature per the Helms Manual. So if the engine is cold, discard those measurements. Probably not what you want to hear.

There are some pictures at the following link where some balance rate measurements were made:

Thanks Alan.

I knew the correct reading was at temp--just wondering if the change was something others had seen.

I guess you just do not even consider it.

I guess I just have to keep my eye on those two.

Does a balance rate of greater than +/-6 mean replacement?

According to the GM description--it seems that want to see high numbers--like greater than 7 to 11?
