Hi all!

Has anyone removed the headliner from one of our trucks? I'm wanting to install some Dynamat to the roof to cut some road noise. I'm also installing a Sirius antenna at the same time, so I'm looking to kill two birds with one stone.

I have looked at my service manuals (for an '01), I have an '03. Is the process as involved as the manuals make it out to be? I cringe at the thought of having to remove the top of the dash (yes, dash!!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley3.gif) to disconnect a wiring harness.

Any input would be appreciated. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif

I haven't removed mine, but like many things. It may seem ominous until you actually go to do it. . . it may be pretty easy and only take a short while to do it. Get up early Saturday and get going, before lunch you'll probably be done and really happy. . .

I had to drop mine partially down to instal an overhead monitor. I don't know if you need to remove the whole thing or not. Remove all of the pillar covers, dome light, overhead console cover and start working it down. There are plastic retainers as well as velcro holding it up. Use a long stick or something to get some leverage around the velcro or you will bend the liner.
