I noticed tonight on my way into the base, (I was running late) my 04 LB7 was blowing a good amount of smoke when it was under hard acceleration. Both times I was able to see the smoke after making a turn and then speeding up. I had the pedal to the floor and could see the smoke cloud in the head lights of the car behind me. I have no mods on the truck. Is this normal or is something getting ready to go? The truck just turned 30,000 miles and it was about 40 degrees tonight.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

One word DIESEL !! It is a Oilburner after all.

Do it again in the daytime to make sure it isn't white smoke. . Don't konw if you have an LLY or LB7, but there is a reflash available for the LLY to help with smoke (not sure if it will help this problem or not). Also, it seems to me like the smoke it puts out can be deceiving at night. . . seems like the lights from cars amplifies the affect of just a little smoke. . .

I second what Dennis said. I have never seen mmine smoke.
The other night my wife followed behind me for awhile and said she
could see a little smoke in her headlights at times.

I am thinking the same thing. I guess the headlights make the exhaust stand out at night.
