: Upgraded Racor OEM replacment filter mjohnson97045 11-04-2003, 05:04 PM I emailed Racor about news they were releasing an updated OEM filter for the Duramax. Here is thier reply: "the new version will just be a longer can. should be out with the 04 model." Wrote back to see if this was on the LLY engine or all 04 models. mjohnson97045 11-04-2003, 05:14 PM He replyed back with: "they are due to be built in december, i do not know the model number." Needless to say I'm intrigued as to what this new filter will be. A larger cannister? A new filter head? Even egads a better filter? Anyhow, depending how grossly this thing may change I'm sure someone will find a way to bolt it on to our 'old engines'.
