: Waste gate solenoid vaccum hookup - which line goes on which side?

Okay.. took the truck on my first pull up north in michigan last night. lost power.. could barley get it to roll to 55 - 60 on the freeway witha 78 code.

I know it's the waste gate solenoid ... sprayed some WD 40 in it to get the ball rolling for now.

When looking at it I got to wondering if the lines were hooked into it right since I remember accidently pulling them during the IP replacement I just completed.

So, the question is - which side of the solenoid goes out to the turbo and which side goes out to the vaccum? (one side has a small gold fitting inside it on the solenoid - the side closest tothe front of the truck)

Also, the faqs say that there should be a vent hole... mine does not have a vent hole.. there is a spot where it looks like the vent should be but the plastic is molded closed. Is that normal?

Thanks!

The back one goes to the turbo.

MSU,

I didn't see anything to indicate what year/model your truck is, so I'm not sure yours will be the same as mine is. However, when I replaced the wastegate solenoid in mine a few months ago, I was told that I could get either vented or non-vented (mine was non-vented, so I replaced it with the same).
