i have a 2005 duramax and sometimes it just cuts out like its not getting fuel it will almost cut off start shaking and jumping running rough and then its fine has done this 3 times and after it sits i have to hold the key over a long time for it to start then the rest of the day it starts fine it did not used to do this it has 55000 miles on it.

1st. Put ac delco fuel filter on it. Do not use napa gold fuel filter.

it happens real quick have not looked i dont understand why i have to hold the key over so long to start it, it just started all this.

sounds like it is loosing the prime. check fuel filter housing...
