Banks if you want them to chose what's safe for your truck. Edge if you want to chose for yourself. Call us before you buy banks, there are alot of systems out there that are just as good as banks, only alot less expensive. I have no doubt that we could save you a few dollars. John

There are many of us here that have 05's and are waiting for Steve Coles Tow tunes for the 05. It is a program module and not a programmer per se, unless he changes it for 05. Guys with the LLY 04.5 love them, and you never see one for sale. Supposedly troublefree always. Check the search feature and read the comments. Have yet to see a negative comment other that "Will Steve please hurray up with the new 05!" Edited by: gardnerteam

I have the Juice/Attitude, and I love how it tows. Much more powerful than my dad's stock truck. And I really like the adjustability I have. I don't have any experience with Banks.

I just got back from my first trip towing since I installed the Banks 6 Gun. It was awesome. I set it on cruise at 72 and just let it go. Before the Banks, when I hit any long uphill stretches I would lose speed and occaissionally would end up downshifting. With the Banks I ran up every hill I came across without dropping below 70 and without downshifting. It truely felt like my 10k trailer was not back there. The every driving is also fun with the added power. If you are just looking for towing improvement with the added side of better everyday drivability I would recommend the Banks. I would buy it again.

I've been running the Banks 6-gun for about six months/15K miles now and it's been relatively trouble-free. The torque curve works great for towing. I did have it "check out" on me one day recently, it didn't leave me stranded but power went back to stock levels. I traced all the connections and all is OK again, I'm thinking I had a loose TCM connection.

Very smooth power, good economy and great towing. Very satisfied.

BANKS would be the best choice IMO for towing applications since its real design initially was for towing anyways.you will get great all around performance with their unit

You'll be happy with the Gun.

70-100 additional hp and towing will end up with a pissed off allison. And stuff cooked from egt's if your not carefull. Even a 30hp tune will make your truck feel like a different animal, 30hp dont sound like much when you are used to buying stuff for a gasser like exhaust thats "supposed" to give you 30 hp and your like....ok....wtfhttp://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif.....Just wait till you get a true 30 hp on a diesel and all that wonderfull torque that goes with ithttp://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley16.gif

A TTS tow tune is supposedly a very smooth and nice program. I dont think I have heard of anyone having any complaints about a TTS chip. I'm sure that all the little complaints now from the LLY owners about some problems on certian tunes will get ironed out eventually but it seems TTS has it bug free now. I dont have an LLY and anyone giving you feed back on thier experience with LB7 products isnt comparing apples to apples. Some edge users have reported wierd quirks on the LLY stuff much like the first LB7 boxes that were out there but edge eventually got all the bugs worked out. But Like I said I havent heard of anyone complaining about the tts stuff. Running the tts stuff for the lb7 I know the lower levels are very nice and smoth for the lb7, the higher level labled extreme is just stoopid. Lower levels feels just like stock but with more nuts when you lean on it. I have absolutely 0 personal experience with LLY stuff, just what I have heard other owners talk about. There are a couple guys like racehemi and mcrat and a few otheres that have ran a few different programs on thier LLY so they could give you a better idea what they like better among the differtn tunes. Unfortunately, Banks does not have anything for the LLY (04.5 or 05 models) yet, but soon, hopefully. I have the Banks Stinger TLC on my O3 LB7 and it makes towing a lot easier.

I have had my banks 6 gun and speedloader on my truck for about 8 months, with 25,000 miles on it to date.. it's a good investment. Once I have the cash, I will be upgrading the transmission and torque converter. That's all I will be doing to it power-wise simply because it's not a race truck..

I would recommend banks. I have no experience with "the juice" but everyone swears by it that has tried it. Either of them are very effective at what they advertise.

Look at the supporting vendors, they will cut you a good deal on what you want, either way you swing.

The reason I went with the Edge was the ability to adjust fuel on shifting and especially the Attitude monitor. I have everything I need in the small digital display, no pods or pillar gauges.

I've got the Banks Stinger TLC system. And their exhaust brake. Love it all. Towed at 20k+GCWR through mountain passes. The power maxes what the transmission will hold - I've felt it depower on occasion. And I can keep my foot in it for 20-mile climbs without worries about EGT's. So seems to be the best balance between power and reliability, at least for me.

I got the system before the 6-gun was release. I'm tempted to upgrade to the 6-gun, maybe someday.

I have the Juice/Attitude on my 2002. I tow a 30ft 5th-wheel out to the desert all the time out here in CA. Fully loaded with motorcycles, water, gear, food and STUFF the trailer weighs in at approx 11-12K (GVRW= 14.1K) My trips usually take me over the Tehone Pass (sp) which is a steep grade. The J/A works flawlessly. I'll put it on level 2 an tow away.

Unless my latest data is wrong, the Banks has not been formally released for the LLY yet. Should be out soon though.
