the boost stick is a nice complament to the edge. gives it an added bonus. it will increase your boost earlier on in the rpm range giving you more pick up, also giving you more total boost. real nice piece.
fill out your signature for future referance so you don't have to type every mod every time.

the extension allows you to get to it easier and therefore pull it out easier in case you need to(like when you take it to the dealer and don't want to lose your warranty). I had a boost stick, but it keep on setting off the SES light and throwing codes. I didn't have a blocker plate so maybe this would of helped. Also, I hear you take programmers like the predator fix it from throwing codes as well.

I just got the EGR blocker plate, finger stick and boost stick installed today. Install was way easy and the difference is immediately noticeable. It picks up boost much earlier. You will need the blocker plate and finger stick to fully realize the benefits of the boost stick. I haven't towed with this setup yet but it already feels peppier.

This is a simple install and it does seem to turn the turbo up quicker. I do say simple, but tedious! I don't know what kind of hands would fit underneath the coolant hose that this little connector sits under. I wound up taking off my turbo air intake completely off and then it was very easy and very simple to do it.

I had a similar experience with the install. I don't think my 9 yr old could have gotten his hand in there to disconnect/reconnect the harness. It's tight. I actually ended up bending a pin in the boost sensor when I tried to push the extension on so.....drop the serpentine belt and take the 4 bolts out of the top of the A/C compressor. This will allow you to set it (gently) over to the side. This gives straight in/easy access. Just like my prom date. Not too difficult and saves alot of frustration in the end.

The boost stick definitley works better with the edge. I really want to block the egr but wonder how it will be if I have to take it back to the dealer??

I agree, pulling the AC compressor and moving it aside is really easier than it sounds and makes it a whole lot easier to install. The boost stick is a very nice addition to the engine and you will not regret installing one.

I'm wondering if the boost stick works well with Predator? Also... is it necessary to install a blocker plate and finger stick to really reap the benefit of the boost stick? Or will you get reasonable performance oomph from the boost stick alone?

I'm wondering if these are performance-only, or will they have economy improvements too - if so, how much?

i have a predator set on 40hp and with the boost stick makes a great combo.

i don't know if MPG went up with the BS, but certainly didn't go down. plus, the low end turbo gain is great, it's like how the truck should of come from the factory.

you'll make less black smoke with the BS, so, that means you're burning that fuel more efficiently.

not sure about if you have to install the EGR blocker + fingerstick or not, but i did beforehand because it has it's own benefits.

And lets not forget the drop in EGT's with this mod. :)

From what I've read, boost stick works best with version 2.0 of Predator. Anyone running the 2.02 version already has boost added in the programming.

I have kicked/swore at many things tinkering with mine. Large Gorilla hands are definitely a drawback as well.

The boost stick works very well with any of the Bullydog triple dog tunes.

I just installed mine but have not really given her a heavy go yet, I went from level 2/3 down to 1/3 on the Edge (to compinsate for the added power i imagine will come with the BS) and i am taken her easy until the tranny re-learns, I have limped the tranny a few times in the past. I have given her a little gas and still have the lag but will wait to comment until I run her through the ringer a little.

I have only unplugged the EGR so far and I have not had a CEL yet.

You will still have a little lag as you need to be moving air to build the boost. The boost stick brings more boost sooner.

I imagine it will work like a champ, can't wait to pull a little weight up the pass.
