While checking out my intermittant ABS light I discovered that the driver-side front wheel bearings are shot on my '95. I had to remove the caliper, rotor, and sensor shield to get at the sensor to clean it. I have not had the pleasure of removing IFS GM 4x4 wheel bearings in the passed but have done many solid axle GM's. I have heard the you cannot replace the bearings only but have to replace the whole assembly. Info anyone? Can the bearings be replaced separately from the spindle shafts? Part number anyone? Thanks Dan

Alot of things CAN be done but at what cost. You would need a press and then to match up the bearing numbers. Just easier/cheaper to buy the hub assy and replace it.

I had to replace one on a k3500 and the cheapest I could find the assembly was $550. I would have to think having a bearing shop press out the old and in with a new.
