: Faster warm up?

I live in Minesota and the winters can get pretty cold. I was wondering if I could replace the cooler of the two thermostats with a warmer one to help keep temps up? Will this cause any problems (besides heavy towing in summer) or is this not even possible?

I doubt there are alternate choices in T-stat. Plug it in and run a winter front over the grill.

Diesel do not heat up well at idle nonetheless. Mine will actually cool off after full warm up even with the winter front on after extended idle periods .

I already use the cold front and it helps, but I had heard of some people changing the t-stats to "a winter thermostat" To me that sounds like a higher temperature. Has anyone heard of this. Thanks Mackin!

No other options for dmax t-stats that I have ever seen. On a typical gas engine, maybe soo.. but not in this case

I think you are a good candidate for the high idle mod!
