Did a LOF and a PMI on my new buggy with 2300 miles today.
My question is, How many zerts did I miss? I found 6. Four on the steering linkage and two on the top ball joints.
I also changed the external tranny filter and topped off the front & rear diffs.
Took a quart between the two. No, I didn't over fill the front diff. They were just both low.
Oh Yeah... this is a one-ton dually, CC.

I believe there are 10 or 11 on these trucks. 4 are on the top and bottom of the balljoints, somone will chime in with the rest, I don't feel like crawling under my truck tonight. If nowone does, ill get the other locations for you tommrow after work.

there is 11 I believe,

4-upper and lower balljoints
4- inner and outer tie rods
1- idler arm mount(on top of idler arm,read PITA)
1- idler arm to centerlink
1-pittman arm to centerlink

Try this link and see if it helps? There should be 11 zerks fittings in all for 2500 HD trucks up to the 2007 classics! If you have an LMM, then I'm not sure. Please be sure to fill out your signiture!

Do these new trucks have a fitting on the drive shaft like the older ones? If so, I can't find it.

None that I have ever seen. If you have to replace a u-joint in the the driveshaft, the aftermarket u-joints have a zert on them.
