A while ago, I inquired about how I could disconnect the heated seat system, in a 2004 2500 HD Sierra. No one ever replied, is there anyone that can help?

Thanks, Andy.

I am sure there is a fuse for this. Just curious why you would want to do this in the first place?

First of all, I live in the Florida Keys, there is no need for the heated seats. Every once in a while, I will inadvertently, touch the switch to the heated seats, while lowering or raising the windows. Those seats get hot real quick and seem to cool off slowly.

if you want you could pull the heating elements out of the seats and send them my way. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

Well, I am buying a ranch in SC, maybe I'll need them there in the winter.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/hihi.gif

The connector is in the seat, you can't unplug from the door because
the seat memory switches go through that plug as well. Looks like
the seat connector might be a little tough to get to. I haven't
looked at it on the actual seat, just a drawing.

Do you have a link to a website, where I can see this drawing?

Thanks.

Hard to tell from the drawings, but it is supposed to be a two-pin
connector, probably hard to get to. . . not sure without taking the
trip outside in my skivvies (it's cold and the neighbors might talk).http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/hihi.gif

Can't you just disconnect it at the switch itself?

The plug for the heated seats also has the memory function, so that would disable memory 1 and memory 2. . . .
