When replacing injectors do you need to bleed the lines?

I didn't. You will see very little fuel out of the injector lines when you remove them from the injectors.

The new injectors might be noticeabley noisier at first but a hard run will work any air bubbles out and you should be good to go.

I know some guys will come along and tell you different but I didn't bleed mine and didn't have a problem. I was told by a very knowledgeable member of another forum that it wasn't required.

I had my lines off, repainted some cool colors for show and tell when i did the heads, there wasn't a drop of fuel anywhere but the IP itself. I bypassed the lift pump to run steady, bled fuel to the T, cranked maybe 10-15 secs.... fired up and smoothed right out real quick.

The injectors will lose the air quickly and the little rascal will fire right off. It might run a little crappy for a few minutes but will clean out fairly quick.

When I do a complete overhaul and the thing is dry all the way I leave the glow plugs out and roll the engine until fuel is misting out the glow plug holes then reinstall the plugs and fire it up.

when i replaced mine i changed the drivers side injectors first then fired the truck up for a few seconds then changed the pass. side. don't know if this made much of a difference or not, it was still a little louder and ran rough but only for a few seconds then smoothed right out.
