My truck is a 2004.5,4x4,4dr 2500hd 6.6 chevy

My speed odometer is still working but is not going all the way down to zero.It is stopping at 10mph and so when i am going down the road it is reading 10mph higher than i am actually going.My truck does not have the fancy steering wheel control for the dic and it just has the miles,hrs and trip.Does not show anything else.My question is what is going on with it and what do i need to do to fix the prob..

Read the instrument cluster repair (stepper motor) write up in the D.I.Y. section. The instrument cluster stepper motor has partially failed. It is, unfortunately, very common on '03 to '07 GM trucks.
