Had something weird happen with the 6-gun and wanted to see if anyone else experienced this. Background: been running the 6G since April and got the updated version about 6 weeks ago. The only change since the reflash is the high idle circuit which dmaxallitech installed at his place.

So.....truck has been running great since I got the reflash. Started it up Sat and pulled it outside for warm-up before starting a trip. Bumped up the idle to the 1200 setting and let it run for 5 minutes or so, then we left. Immediately noticed I was back to stock power settings. I tried every power setting with no change. Arrgghh. After driving 10 minutes pulled over, shut off engine, restarted, cycled knob from 6 to 1 to 6 (just to make sure the 6G recognized the Speed Loader) and tried again. No change. Drove 80 miles, then 8 hours later we headed out for an additional 100 miles. Still no change. Weird.

This morning, I pulled the dash panel - green light on the 6G, no red light. Checked all connections, no problems. And all the power is back. Running like it never happened.

Not sure what to do other than call Banks. Wondering if it's somehow related to using high idle, but I have used high idle on 4-5 other occassions w/o any problems. The only other difference is that I'm now running the winterfront but again I don't see how that can make any difference. At least it didn't leave me stranded! Any ideas out there?

The 6 gun has a warmup system or somthing like that. It keeps the power low until the truck is up to operating temperature, maybe you weren't there yet?

Pretty sure I was warmed up....80 miles on the expressway...temps were running 200ish....you're right though, the power isn't there until 160 degrees or so.

I had the same thing happen to me, but engine was warm and I had been on the driving my truck for over an hour at 70 to 75 mph. I called the Banks engineer and he told me that I might have overpowered the transmission in high gear and six gun went into the limp mode. I turned off and restarted the truck and that did not fix. After it setup all night the power returned. I wish there was a light that would indicate you were in the limp mode. & nbsp;
