After reading through some posts, it seems there are a lot of troubles out there with Edge products. What else can you guys recommend? I'm looking for more powewr and better economy. Basically better towability for my 30' 5ver. Thanks.

Actually you have several choices, but usually you get what you pay for. There are many people on here that have purchased a value tuner and then switched to the PPE. The nice thing is that PPE probably has the hotest canned tune out (meaning in a handheld programmer) and their drivability is very good. So... if you go with their Standard model you will have all the power a stock trans can ever handle, but if you decide to ever upgrade your trans PPE will upgrade their tuner with higher HP tunes for an upgrade fee.

My customers have been very happy with the PPE Standard Xcelerator on Level 2 or Level 3 Tow Performance. Several of them report that they have achieved better fuel mileage than the PPE's advertised.

This is my opion from my experience of both using the product and selling it.

I think Chevy Dealer nailed that one. PPE makes some of the best tuners out there. There are so many options for tuners and you will get a somewhat different opinion from everyone but PPE or EFI Live is the way to go IMO. Efilive is sweet but it depends if you want to mess around with all the other deeper components and spend $ on custom tunes and the 750$ for the v2. Take a look in the marketplace and you should find what your lookin for. I ran Bullydog in my truck for a year and loved the option of changing tunes driving down the road but.... needless to say it isn't the best on your tranny. If you think you can control the urge not to crank it up all the time and keep your tranny informed of where you are in power levels.:D(That was my problem and my tranny DOES NOT LIKE ME AT ALL) , Bullydog is also a nice tuner plus you can take it with you in future trucks. Let us know if you have any other questions. Good luck

Ditto...

I have the Xcelerator set on level 3 (120 hp) @ the crank, although I don't race around or abuse my truck so the tranny is Safe, for now...anyways, I have also noticed better mpg, but just city driving, I'm up 1.4 mpg over stock so far, having a 34 gal tank, that makes a big difference to me, and my wallet..:D
