Under warranty, the dealer replaced the power steering gearbox on our 2003 Duramx. This is the third time that the gearbox or steering shaft has been replaced. Is this a recurring problem with this model year truck?


Under warranty, the dealer replaced the gearbox in our 2003 Duramax. This is the third replacement of either the gearbox or the steering shaft in this truck. Are owners having the same problem as we are experiencing?

What problems are you experiencing?

Two steering shafts have been replaced. The power steering box has been replaced. The air conditioner has had warranty work three or four times. Also some mickey-mouse problems that should have been solved when the truck was built. GM still needs to give serious attention to quality control
