Cust curious how many of you if any ordered a new 2007 LMM GMC or Chevy, but the truck ended up being a 2008 GMC or Chevy Instead?

The cut off date aleady passed when i ordered mine.

From what many SoCal Dealerships told me, the cut off date to order a truck as a 2007 LMM, vs. a 2008 LMM was before May 14th...

Have any of you heard different than that?

I'm pretty sure it was 4/27, plus or minus a day.

I think it was in May also. I ordered like a week after the cut off unfortunately.

Yes Duratothemax you are correct about that, they are the same trucks. As far as incentives and rebates though, they are clearly not.

However, this thread is to possibly help those who ordered a 2007 and got an 2008 model year truck instead. There may be some issues in regards to rebates where GM screwed up.

I would like to know who this happened to because there may be a possiblity of helping them out in the rebate department.

I will know more details about it in the weeks to come, but For Now, I need a list of those "who specifically ordered a 2007 LMM and recieved a 2008 LMM instead".

I don't know how to repsond to your poll. In February I tried to order an '07 GMC 3500 dually. Was told they were not taking orders yet. In mid-April I wanted to order an '07 Chevy LMM ('07.5) but I was hesitant because there was no information about options or prices available. When that information became available (April 27) I tried to order again and was told the cut-off date for production had passed even though that production had not even started yet. I was told the only thing I could do was wait until I could order an '08.

On May 4, the first day I could order an '08, the option list was available but the prices were not. I needed the truck so I ordered on that date. The truck arrived at the dealer on August 14 and I took delivery on August 17. I received no incentives on the truck. I did qualify for gm employee family pricing. There was an increase on the base price of the truck of around 1% over the '07.5.

When I first decided to buy a LMM in March '06 I realistically thought I should have a 3500 dually LMM by January 2007. It took 8 more months for that to happen. I love the truck but the buying experience was very bad.

I ordered a 07.5 and it was switched to 08. I will have to check the exact date?
