I have a 04.5 cc sb and sometimes have to put a child in the front seat because there are already three in the back seat. In my wife's 03 suburban there's a light that tells you when the airbag is on/off. I'm not sure if this airbag in my truck is an automatic weight sensing unit or not. Any ideas?

As far as I know, the front seats on Crew Cab HD's can not disable air bags. Nor, can you get a disable switch I think.


Don't know the gory liability details, but I don't know exactly what GM can do about putting in a disable switch for the front seat of Crew cabs.


Their recommendation is to use the back seat. I guess it never occured to them what to do if the back seat is filled.
