Whats up their fellas? Damn it, i just bought this bullydog triple dog programmer of eBay about a week ago and i tried to upload their new softwear before installing on my truck like bullydog recommends but i cant load it i think the ****er that sold it to me left the programmer on his e.c.m. and just sold it to me with no program. "AINT THAT JUST ABOUT A BITCH".... anyways the reason i wanted to hit you guys up is to find out if theirs anyway of unlocking this thing or am i just S.O.L on $400.00 or maybe i'm just doing something wrong with this unit. if anybody here has any tech tips on bullydog programmers, just drop a line. it would be a big help......

Thats the problem with Ebay. You never know what you're gonna get.

It sounds to me like you bought it from some dirtball....Ebay's full of them.

Wow... sounds like you got the shaft.

Your explanation sounds like the most logical. He never unloaded the program from his truck and thus, you can't upload the bullydog to your truck until he returns his to stock.

As far as Ebay goes, i'm not sure you have a leg to stand on, since he 'technically' did deliver the product, just not as advertised...

I'd file a complaint anyways. Sucks man...

Yea, tell me about it. And, you know what the trip is ? This is my first time ever buying some thing off of eBay or even off line and i got ripped off the very first time, thats just my luck..... DAMN IT...

yea i tried that earlier today but the guy in tech. serv. wasnt any help to me at all he pretty much told me i'm s.o.l. and blew me off. He did'nt seem like he wanted to talk to much almost like he was running late for lunch or something and just wanted to hurry up and hang up. Maybe, i'll try back tomarrow and hope i get somebody diffrent that might give a damn about their customers.

When I had problems with mine I took it to my buddy, as he is a Bully Dog dealer. He hooked it up to his computer, updated it and reset it to "out of the box" specs. Maybe the dealers have different software than what we can get.

So false advertisement is OK?? No way!!

Try and contact the seller and see if that resolves it. Ask if they unprogrammed the vehicle it was used on. If that doesn't get you anywhere then try contacting Ebay.

Last resort would be small claims, I know it is a PITA, but you have a legitimate case.

The guy could be dumb as a bag of bricks and didn't know you had to do anything about loading the stock tune back. If his feedback is good and he has alot, then it could be a idiot error on his part. I always pay my stuff with a credit card through Paypal. The charges can be reversed. Same if use your Visa Debit card. I got screwed one time on Ebay by Paypal not going after the crook.Said there was nothing they could do. I pissed them off, I reversed the charges on my credit card.

If you paid by CC then dispute it and do it quick...no garontees that you get your $$$ back, but may be worth a try if nothing else good comes outta this..

Sorry bout your problem, and that's one reasone when it comes to buyin stuff like that, I buy new, and get a warranty.

):h Didnt you do that to some poor sucker? ):h

Actually what happened with Nick was he set the tune back to stock but forgot to change the tire size. So the guy was in the same boat as you. But he talked to Nick and Nick realized his screw up and all turned out fine. Contact the guy or attempt to and see if you 2 can work it out. If that fails leve him some bad feedback and hope bullydog will help you out.

Call Philip and just explain to him what happened. They are pretty decent folks if you give them the chance.:)

Guess it's lessened learned. Save by going fly by night Ebay seller private or not and get screwed?

View and use the vendors here and you have protection. I use them myself. I actually refer friends and just bought a muffler delete pipe for his Cummins from Xtreme diesel for him.

What was your savings $150 bucks? If he screws you your recourse is negative feed back. Wow that's gonna sting :D

I can't see a Bully Dog distributer helpnig as what is in it for them except the guy you bought it from gets a free tune as you. The seller Probably needs it wants it to tweak with EFI.

Gonna see more of this, buyer beware

I WILL NEVER EVER use ebay again. I learned a hard lesson there....and its like Mackin says.....negative feedback is a joke. That place sucks, if you think about it it is an avenue to sell damaged goods, the sellers lie about it and most of the time there is no recourse. Trying to communicate with ebay about disputes is a joke too....no phone number....all through the computer.

Yea, as for the guy that sold it to me he wont awnser his phone or the messages i leave him. About the worst thing i can do to him is send a bad comment on his eBay account which i dont think it really matters but what goes around comes around. $#!t Happens.

Keep after the seller for a few weeks and see what happens. I had a bad deal with a power hound that I bought. It took about 3 weeks but I finally got my money back.
