Thank to all for this fourm.... Have learned a ton. I was wondering if there is a bench or shop test to check the pump off the truck. I have 2 extra pumps that i got from a buddy who sold his truck and wondering if they are any good. Is there anyone here who works on them? Or could check them out?

There is a guy here in Sacramento that has a machine that does it. He charges about $180 to do it. I was refered to him by a dealer parts dept because he picks up their spent pumps. I would call the gm and chevy dealers in your area and ask them where they send their spent pumps. The guy who collects them will know who to go to.

Ask you local parts store, they shuld be able to point you in the right direction. It think that might be a dealer thing, but it never hurts to ask.
