Ok, I've only had her a week, but I'm getting a little concerned about the fact the fan runs continuously. I come from the LLY and am accustomed to the constant cycling of the fan, but my LLM seems to run ALL the time. Is this normal? I looked in the manual and it says that the fan will run when extra cooling is needed. It also mentions that if you have the electric fan, it may run at slow speeds continuously. I think mine is a clutch fan. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. My engine temp gauge never goes over 210 degrees and I have no evidence at all of overheating, but the constant running of the fan is becoming a source of concern. There are only about 230 miles on the truck right now. I plan to pull 10,000 lbs. this coming weekend and would like to get a better feel on what's going on, if anything. Also, my other truck had the Edge Attitude monitor and that gauge was usually around 180 unloaded and at operating temps. This one boogies right up to 210 and sits there. Normal?

My LMM has has just over 500 miles and the fan runs at start up but i have not heard it any other time.

Elsewhere (http://dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=174522) on this forum I posted a message about what I thought might be the electric fan operating when I'm driving at high altitude (above 8500 ft). I thought it might be pulling in more air for the turbo charger. But I'm new to these diesel trucks as well as somewhat mechanically challenged so I'm only guessing/speculating. But otherwise, I'm unaware of the electric fan coming on except when I first start up.
