I bought my truck with a Superlift 6in lift on it. Being a previous silverado owner, I noticed right away an incredible amount of play in the steering. Is this normal with a lift kit or did they not install something correctly. Can it be tightened up?

I installed a 6" RCD lift on my 02, no play in my steering. sounds like somethings not right/tight.

Check the 2 bolts on your idler arm where it bolts to the frame, I replaced mine w/ grade 8 bolts because they came loose a couple of times on my truck.No problems since.

Check the front kit and make sure everything it tight. If that does not work then go to your local 4WD shop and have them take a look at it. All else fails, get that kit off there and put a new one on... Might just be the kit, some of the superlift kits had issues....

one thing most people don't think of..... with bigger components what play is in system is magnified, I.E. bigger tires puts more stress on stuff, what seems like little or no play(movement) becomes quite a bit of play just by putting bigger tires on
