Hi Group. I'm just wondering if someone could recommend to me a good servicing dealer in the Sacramento Valley area. The selling dealer's service department is too far for me to conveniently to drop off my truck for warranty service during the work week. Thanks.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

hey summit, im in sac town, roseville area.... i buy from John L
Sullivan in the roseville auto mall, however, they are way understaffed
in the tech department especially for the diesels, but they will get it
done if youre patient. ive been luck enough to get some great
information from this site and people on the site so ive always been
one step ahead of the dealer when i go in for warranty work, i usually
research the problem if im having one and go to them and say this is
what i think is happening and i havent had a problem yet, theyve done
all my warranty work, and i have loads of after market stuff.....
another really good service dept is elk grove, and performance
chevrolet on madison, they have great diesel techs there and i will
probably check them out for the next visit

Thanks Tbone for the recommendation. I almost bought one from Sullivan via factory order but my other truck was going down the tubes quickly and I did not think it was going last another 10 weeks waiting for the factory order to come in. I am surprise for such a large dealership that they would have a shortage of diesel techs.

Have you heard anything about Daugherty Chevrolet on Fulton?

just had my buddy's truck at daugherty, as its about 2 miles from my
house. service writer Ron is very good guy, but they don't have
many dmax techs. they replaced his injectors after MUCH
complaining by me (kept saying smoke at idle was fine). after
service truck had a bit of an idle lope and has since been sold.. i
might try performance chevrolet as i've heard they do a lot of
diesels....

also daugherty broke a wire on my truck when i was in for a reflash once..
