I just bought an Edge w/Attitude but when i installed it i found out that i need to send it back in b/c i wont match with my ECM..i guess thats it..it wont read anything and makes the truck die when i rev the motor,,,
when i call edge what do i tell them?it was manufactored in 04 so theres no warranty but the guy i bought it from had previusly had it updated and stuff...thanks!

did you buy the right one for your motor? i would call edge and say it doesnt work on my truck, and see if theyll trade or upgrade you for cheap.

yea, the guy i bought it from had an lb7 just like mine..he even installed it for me..mount and all so he could do a test drive and show me how to work everything..obviously we didnt get to the test drive...n e 1 else???

Well this won't be popular, but being as how the box was made in 04, I'd say your warranty is gone.
IIRC, Edge does give a discount for the old box if you decide to go though them. My best advice is to give it back to the guy you bought it from and find one that works.

Ususally the manufacturer wants a reciept as well for a credit, I just went through this with Superchips, I have the old 2705, and was looking to upgrade to the 2805, but they wanted a reciept and the wife vbought it for me for Christmas like a year and a half ago, reciept gone, so they will not even consider a trade. So that is just my story with SC, I hope Edge does you one better!

All Edge asked of me was the original Edge I had....sent it in...and 3 weeks later, I had a brandidy new one.

Edge has replaced a couple of their units for me. First time around . . . module was within warranty period and a sales receipt was requested.
Just recently, module was sent in (6 months out of warranty) and no sales receipt was needed . . . possibly already on file?
Just received a brand spanking new unit in the mail . . . my advice would be to call . . . the worst they can say is no.
Best case scenario would be to ship it back to 'the guy' that you purchased it from.

If it didn't work on your truck from day-one, I'd get my money back from the guy you bought it from.
If you're stuck with having to deal with Edge Products, all I can say is good luck. They used to be a jam up company to deal with, but I've had some bad experiences lately that have definitely soured my opinion of them.

i have already spoke with Edge and shipped it with a RMA#. I explained what is happening and they said they would work with me. The guy was super nice and answered most my questions.
i just dont get why it wouldnt work. it worked fine on the others guys truck then not on mine..i dunno, guess ill find out in a couple weeks..ill keep you poster.
