i have a problem with my egt getting to hot in a 1/4 mile on stage 5 with the edge juice with attitude. i was thinking of putting on the ppe boost increase valve to increase my booost. i didnt know if it would also lower my egt because of more air flow. can any one help. also does the ppe boost increase valve work

What year is your truck? Any exhaust work done? What kinda boost are you getting now? Fill out your sig so its easier for us to help ya............ :)

Lots of guys have hit over 2000* in the 1/4 and havent had an issue.

Holding 2000* for an extended period of time will definately do damage......A rip down the strip wont hurt ya. Increasin boost will drop EGTs but be carefull with the Edge.....IIRC it only reads to 26.5

Like the above poster said, if you're going to monkey with your boost control you need a stand alone boost gage. Yes, higher boost will lower EGTs. I put a needle valve in my wastgate line and adjusted it (more closed means more boost) based on what I saw on the gage. Your turbo will self destruct somewhere between 31 and 35 psi!!:eek:

C'mon, I ran an IHI to 39PSIG with no damage.

Of course, it did kersplode on me within 500 miles.:D

Yes, higher boost will lower EGT's. The PPE boost valve does work. Don't try the needle valve with the attitude. It doesn't read above 26 psi unless they've changed it. The Edge will also defuel the engine when the EGT's get above your preset limit. 1400 on a short run wouldn't bother me. Good Luck
