Yes, higher boost will lower EGTs. I put a needle valve in my wastgate line and adjusted it (more closed means more boost) based on what I saw on the gage. Of course, it did kersplode on me within 500 miles.:D 32PSIG and under measured at the manifold. Southern Bred 08-25-2007, 11:37 AM Yes, higher boost will lower EGT's. The PPE boost valve does work. Don't try the needle valve with the attitude. It doesn't read above 26 psi unless they've changed it. The Edge will also defuel the engine when the EGT's get above your preset limit. 1400 on a short run wouldn't bother me.
