They never made any z71 HD GMT-800's. The only z71 HD's are the brand new GMT-900's. You can confirm that it is not a z71 by checking the RPO codes in the glovebox. Also the limited slip you are referring to would be RPO code G80. Look for that in the glove box to tell whether or not the truck came equiped with the limited slip.

Sounds like he liked the sticker and put on the truck. Just make sure he is honest on everything else about the truck.

GMT 900 is the new body style truck. 800 is the classic style. They never made such a thing as a Z71 dually. Ive seen people put the stickers on though. Sounds like someones feeding you bologna.

I've always thought the Z-71 was a half ton package. Never saw them before this year on 3/4 or 1-ton trucks. The package included an oil cooler and skid-plates among other things that was standard on the bigger trucks.

The duallys made in the 90's did not have the Z-71 option either as I had two, I ordered both and that was not an option. It was also not on the GMT 800 which started production for the 2001 model year as I have ordered two of those also.

Is it an option on the GMT 900 (2008) 3500 duallys?

Z-71 is still unavailable on the duallys.

I seriously doubt the Z-71 will ever be offered in a Dually.

What I would much rather see is a Denali Dually:D . I would love one of those if they would make it.:D

I just bought an 07 dually. While i was look before, I test drove an 08 Z71 dually. They will also have 17" steel wheels and simulators. And i hate to say they have a 08 2WD Z71.....What Da @&^%$

Thanks jtaylor11. I saw a GM infomercial and swore they said z71 2 wheel drive. My buddy told me I was nuts. A two wheel drive offroad package? What market are they going after.

people that want the taller suspension but not the 4x4..to me it doesn't really matter..you look at the baja trucks and they are 2wd but they spend their whole life off road. who knows everytime the 2wd z71 comes up everyone had tons of opinions. The fact is some people want something that sets up like a 4x4 for the ground clearance but don't want to pay or sacrifice fuel mileage(difference is minimal i know) but people are set in their ways. As long as it sells a few more trucks, I say more power to them.

2WD with an offroad package is nothing new really, toyota used to make, (and might still im not sure), the tacoma prerunner which was a 2WD with the offroad package so GM doing it now isnt that crazy. i guess if you live in an area that doesnt see snow or youre one of those crazy anti-4x4 guys but you still want the truck to sit up some it would be a good option to have.

Some good points / I guess you may want some of the characteristics of a
4x4 without the 4x4. hats the great thing about this site/ Different point of veiws/

Decals are cheap. Check out my ZHD 3500 decal. A lot of people ask me about that, I tell em it a custom spring package.
