At what point do you need to put a lift pump on? I only have the PPE tuner but it is always on the #4 setting? Plan on putting an exhaust and intake later but that will not really boost hp much more at all? Just wondering how many hp before I would need a lift pump?

Whats your rail pressure doing?

As Ratlover stated if your rail pressure is dropping a lift pump may solve it for you. We have seen an improvement in anything above 400 RWHp.

I am in the same position needing a lift pump probably. What is the best solution out there to handle the ppe hot+2.

Well Im running my PPE programmer at level 4 which is 225 extra hp at the fly wheel. 365 hp stock and a extra 225 hp form the ppe = 590 hp. So Im guessing about 425 to the rear wheels? Dont know what my rail pressure is? How do I check it? If it turns out that I need a lift pump what gains will I get from it and will I notice it?

A lift pump will keep the CP3 supplied with fuel so it can put out all it can. If the programming calls for more fuel than the CP3 can deliver it will not fix it but will help it out. We have seen as much as a 25 Hp increase at high power settings from adding lift pumps. Bosch calls for a lift pump in the system in there design manuals so we are really just replaceing what GM left off.

You may want to get some one to ride with you and watch while you drive so you don't end up in a ditch. Put it to the floor and see if the desired preasure is the same as the actual preasure. If they are way off a liftpump will probably help and you will feel the difference in 5th and 6th gears.
