I have a 1995 chevy 3/4 ton 6.5L diesel truck. Has anyone had to take the blower motor resistor out and what is the best way to get to it?

Take off the glove box. It is on the top of the duct-work up and to the left.

It is a royal PITA to get out and a pretty challenging little puzzle getting the new one in without screwing up the coils.....

Here is a post with more instructions, part numbers and pictures:

I've never had to replace the blower motor resistor, but on numerous occasions I've had to replace the barrel switch for the blower motor speed on the climate control panel (dash).

What are the symptoms?

For me, fan ran only in high speed (bypassing resistor coils).
