Had a chance to change my filters out today and was a little surprised at what I found. If you've read the Auxiliary filter (ihttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=68874) thread in the DIY section you have seen my set up, two Pre-OE filters fed by one Kennedy lift pump. If not pics in my garage. The first one is 10 micron and the second is 2 micron. I have had this running for just under 25k miles. For about the first 5k I had a slightly used 2 micron in what would become the 10 position, as it only had around 12k on it. Later changed to a 10. FWIW, I did have a single 2 micron set up installed before I upgraded to the Titan tank and went the current route..blah blah blah
So, the dirty filters in order from tank would be 10 micron with a little under 20k and VERY black and dirty, the 2 micron with just under 25k but still has a distinct yellow color, and last the OE that looks damn near new. The real kicker is the amount of miles that the OE has seen, care to guess? You'll be surprised.
