Installed the TTS tow tune last night and took it for a quick spin. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Like going from a heavy truck to a sports car. Now I need tranny mods :(

I noticed the boost now goes up to around 28 where as before it was around 23 at max.

I noticed the tranny shifts a tad firmer and seems to de-fuel when shifting on hard acceleration. Is this normal? How long will it take for the tranny to learn?

Also I have a light on, on the dash. It's the 'car with a pad lock next to it' icon. What is that?

I had also installed the trailer brakes controller so this may have caused it. I used the same plug from my old 2000 1500 Z71.
The plugs and wires were in the same exact location so I figured it would work? The only difference in the harness' was the one that came with the Dmax had an extra wire. Any idea what the difference is? Also should the trailer brakes work with me using the same plug/harness from the old Z71?

I had a 99 silverado and in 2003 they changed the wire hareness. They look the same but I think they switched two wires around. There is a way to change it yourself but I just got a new one for the 03...

I just released the tab that holds the wire in clip and switched them.

I compared the old w/ the new one and swapped the 2 wires.

Mine looked to be exactly the same?

My prob is with the old harness the colors of the wires matched the wire colors out of the controller.

The colors on the Dmax harness do not match and I am unsure how to wire it.

It's a Tekonsha Voyager XP.

If you have the wrong harness the trailer brakes will apply when your headlamps come on. The brown illumination wire is switched with the light blue brake switch input signal wire.

I fixed the brake controller wires and still have the light on, on the dash. Even unplugging the controller does not help.

Will give Steve a call and see what's going on.

Thanks for the input everyone! I am really liking the extra power :)

That light on your dash is got to do with your factory "alarm".
