Okay here it goes.

I haven't changed my sig yet but just bought a 2005 cc sb 2500HD Chevy. I want to fit the truck with a set of 16x10 rims with 305x70x16 BFG all-terrains. The reason for this is because I will be running them on my pulling truck in the summer and on the Chevy in the winter, I don't want to dismount and remount tires 2 times a year.

I know it is possible, i'm just having a hard time figuring it out. More backspacing the better because it will keep the rim and tire under the truck, that leading to saving the paint and allowing the big tires to clear.

I know a 16x8 would work much better on the Chevy but would look funny on the Dodge. So the question is how can I make this work. I know it's all about backspacing so how much and what rim can you buy with the right backspacing that is affordable.

Thanks in advance for any and all help,

Matthew

Do a search for posts by Fingers, he's got some serious meat on his
wagon and I think he's pretty much explained everything on them pretty
well. Looks awesome.

There is not much space for more backspacing for such a small diameter
rim in the front. For much more bs you would need a bigger wheel (18
inches or bigger).

i'm on the road right now on buisiness and don't have my truck or all
of my pictures. The limiting factor on backspacing is the A frames on
the front. Mine are 4.5" but I could have gone 5", maybe more. Lifted
trucks usually require 4.5 to clear the modified spindles.

I can't help you with the Dodge end of the deal.
